Alumni Latiyera Yeargin putting in work !

February 6, 2018-Emporia State’s Latiyera Yeargin has earned MIAA Women’s Track Athlete of the Week honors.

A senior from Topeka, Kan., Yeargin set the Emporia State school record in the 60m with a provisional qualifying time of 7.61 in the prelims of the 60m at the Herm Wilson Invitational.  She would finish third in the finals in a time of 7.73.  She also placed third in the 200m in 25.55 as she helped the Hornet women place second in the meet behind host Wichita State and in front of UMKC.

Yeargin is currently ranked second in the 60m in the MIAA and is 13th in the nation.
